POPULAR Saltash Police Community Support Officer Kirsty Down has announced she is leaving the police force.

And as befits someone with almost 14,000 followers on social media, Kirsty let people know her news via Twitter.

In an emotional video clip, the PCSO said that she would be working until sometime in September, and while not giving reasons for her decision, said it had been taken ‘with a very heavy heart’.
