Police have launched an investigation following an assault in Torpoint.

The incident took place on Thursday, February 28 between 5.30-5.40pm outside the public toilets next to the Garden Sports Leisure Club on Antony Road, Torpoint. It is alleged that an altercation took place between two men and the victim, a man in his 40s was grabbed by the throat.

It is believed that there was a number of possible witnesses in the area at the time, and police would like to hear from anyone who was present during the altercation.
