Police want to hear from witnesses to a road collision which happened at approximately 6.47am yesterday morning (Tuesday, April 9). The incident involved two vehicles on the A3071 outside of Newbridge.

On arrival both drivers were reported trapped in their vehicles. One occupant was taken to Treliske hospital with minor injuries and one was flown to Derriford by Air Ambulance for treatment for injuries now described as serious not but life threatening.

Specialist officers from Devon and Cornwall’s Alliance Roads Policing Team attended along with a Forensic Collision Investigator and Scenes of Crime Officer.

A full investigation of the scene took place and officers are working to establish the cause of this collision.
