Police investigating the collision on the Trevol Road, which involved a Lexmoto Titan 125cc scooter, are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
The crash happened at around 2.40pm yesterday (Sunday, 19 December).
“The rider of the scooter was taken to Derriford Hospital for treatment,” said a Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson.
“Officers from the Alliance Firearms Team as well as local officers attended the scene. Once an investigation had been conducted the road was re-opened.
“The police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, has any information or dashcam footage that could help the police with their enquiries.”
