Devon and Cornwall Police have issued advice on the safe use of drones:

If you received a drone this Christmas (lucky you) please keep in mind these rules (CAA) each and every time you fly it and read more about the Drone Code here: https://goo.gl/yxwzSV

• Stay below 120m (400ft).

• Keep 50m (150ft) away from people and property, keep 150m (500ft) from crowds and built up areas.

• Keep at least 1km (0.62 mile) away from airports.

• ALWAYS keep your drone in sight – YOU are personally responsible for every flight
