Police are appealing for witnesses to the serious collision between two cars on the A387 Polperro Road, Looe, last Friday.

Emergency services were called around 12.20pm on May 19 to reports of the collision.

A 78-year-old man received life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital.

Police closed the road for four-and-a-half hours while a specialist forensic examination of the scene was carried out.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for witnesses to the collision.
