Two Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service appliances and a whole time officer dealt with an out-of-control bonfire at Landrake on Thursday lunchtime.

Firefighters ask that if you are planning a large bonfire in Cornwall, you inform the Critical Control Centre on 0203 162 2240 before you start.

Tell the operator your location and the time you intend to start burning, and call back when you have finished.
