An off-duty paramedic cared for two injured people after a road crash yesterday afternoon as emergency services rushed to the scene.

The air ambulance was called to the B3247 on the Torpoint side of Millbrook shortly before 3pm.

Firefighters from Torpoint and Saltash had to help paramedics to extricate the injured from the vehicles.

Both injured people were taken to hospital. The extent of their injuries is not known.
