Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision involving a motorcyclist which has left one man in hospital in a serious condition.

At approximately 7.30pm on Saturday, April 30, emergency services were called to a single vehicle collision on the A392 Gannel Road, Newquay.

The 31-year old rider, from Perranporth, came off his black Suzuki motorcycle and suffered a serious head injury. He was initially taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital but due to the severity of the injuries was transferred to Derriford Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Officers from the Bodmin Traffic Unit are investigating the collision and are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 101 or [email protected], quoting police log 802.
