Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted twice in two days in St Austell.

During the first incident, a van pulled up near the 24-year-old local man who was walking along South Street.

The vehicle struck the victim and one of the men inside the van grabbed the victim and threatened him.

The incident happened at 10.30am on Sunday, April 17 opposite the junction of Moorland Road.

The second incident happened the following day on Monday, April 18, at around 2.30pm, on the junction of Moorland Road into South Street, as the victim was walking along.

The victim was assaulted by a woman who got out of a black Vauxhall Astra estate that she was travelling in and struck his face after threatening him.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed these incidents or has information that could assist with the investigation to get in touch.
