Falmouth RNLI’s volunteer lifeboat crew were launched late on Sunday night after a boat got into difficulty.
The vessel Little Auk was in transit from Falmouth to Fowey when she suffered rigging problems and then her engine failed. In addition one of the two persons on board was suffering from seasickness, and had been for the past three hours.
A lifeboat crew member was immediately put on board to assess the state of the seasick female crew member, whilst the rest of the crew made ready their equipment and prepared to tow the vessel back to Falmouth Harbour.
The weather was clear with good visibility and a wind of force 4 from the north east producing a moderate sea.
The lifeboat commenced the tow at 11.25pm and arrived at Port Pendennis in Falmouth Harbour approximately one hour later.
