A pick-up driver was taken to hospital after becoming trapped in the vehicle in an accident on the A30 this morning.

Two appliances from Launceston Fire Station and the Rescue Tender went to the scene of the accident which involved the pick-up and a tractor.

Fire crew using crash rescue equipment freed the injured motorist who was taken to hospital by paramedics.

The incident blocked both carriageways of the A30 near Kennards House and caused traffic disruption.
