Fire crews from south east Cornwall helped fight a major blaze on an industrial estate during the night.
The alarm was raised after an explosion on the Pennygillam estate at Launceston shortly before 1.30am.
A witness could see flames coming from a nearby property.
Firefighters from Launceston found three lorries well alight and feared the possibility of spread to nearby buildings.
Crews from Liskeard and Callington and a specialist appliance from St Austell were sent to the scene, where firefighters used four breathing apparatus sets, two main jets and a hose reel to tackle the fire.
Within an hour the situation was under control and crews were damping down.
