Firefighters from South East Cornwall are helping tackle a fire in an industrial building this morning.

The alarm was raised shortly after 6am in Launceston.

Within 30 minutes a Callington crew and a team from Holsworthy were sent to help two crews from Launceston fight the blaze.

A water carrier from Liskeard, the incident command unit from St Just and an operational support vehicle from Falmouth were also mobilized.

Devon and Cornwall Police closed Under Lane while the drama unfolded.

By 9am, Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said good progress was being made.
