A householder had to be treated by paramedics for the effects of inhaling smoke after fire broke out during the night.
The crews of two appliances from Launceston found a fire in the bathroom of a two-storey property at South Petherwin shortly after 3am.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus put out the fire using a high pressure hosereel jet.
A positive pressure ventilation fan was used clear smoke from the premises.
