Firefighters battled a blaze in a holiday cottage at Morval this afternoon.

Two appliances from Liskeard and one from Looe found smoke coming from a barn conversion shortly after 3pm.

The fire was on the first floor in the kitchen area of the two-storey conversion, measuring approximately 5m by 5m.

Firefighters used a total of four breathing apparatus, one hosereel, a safety jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan to put out the fire and clear the smoke.
