Two gorse fires are believed to have been started deliberately.

Police are investigating the blazes at Tregonetha Downs on Tuesday (March 22), where firefighters from St Columb and St Dennis tackled a two-hectare fire using beaters, and between Badgall and Tresmeer later the same evening, when a fire crew from Launceston put out the flames in a small area of thick gorseland.
