Two fire crews from Torpoint Community Fire Station answered reports of a gorse fire on the cliffs near Cobland Hill, Crafthole, this afternoon (March 27).

The firefighters established that this was a controlled burn, but because of the wind direction deemed the fire unsafe.

Beaters were used to extinguish about 60 square metres of gorse.
