A dozen firefighters tackled a gorse blaze on moorland.

Two crews from Launceston Community Fire Station fought the flames near Laneast yesterday (March 13) evening, after being alerted by several passer-bys.

Crews used hose reels and beaters to bring approximately 100 metres square of fire under control.
