Members of Torpoint Town Council toured the town fire station to watch the weekly drills undertaken by the town’s retained firefighters.

Station officer Steve Gill demonstrated and explained the equipment on the emergency vehicles, including a powerful winch and a thermal imaging camera.

In addition to their primary role of fire-fighting and attending road traffic collision call outs, the brigade can give fire protection advice, which is freely available for domestic and commercial premises.
