CHILDREN will have the chance to sit in the fire engine and have their photo taken during an open day at Liskeard Fire Station.

Firefighters will be on hand to chat about the work they do and will be demonstrating how they respond to a road traffic accident. ladder demonstrations will also be part of the exciting event.

Come along and meet the station mascot Blaze Bear and enjoy a barbecue - the Open Day is set to take place on Sunday (October 1) from 10am - 2pm.
