A fire in a shed spread to a nearby vehicle shortly after midnight today (June 1).

Two fire engines from Callington were sent to the blaze at Higher Kelly, Calstock.

A shed measuring six metres by five metres was in flames.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a high pressure hosereel jet and a main jet to put out the fire, which had spread and involved a nearby vehicle and the hedgerow.

The cause was accidental.
