Callington firefighters were part of the 999 services response to a collision at Treburley on Saturday afternoon (February 20) in which a motorist was injured.

Sixteen firefighters on three appliances from Launceston and Callington were at the scene on the A388.

The injured driver of the single vehicle involved was still in the vehicle when rescue crews arrived. Firefighters and paramedics helped the driver from the vehicle, which was winched from the hedgerow by the fire crews.

The casualty was treated by ambulance crews while firefighters made the scene and the vehicle safe. The extent of the motorist’s injuries is not yet known.
