FIREFIGHTERS from Torpoint used a high pressure hose reel to extinguish a car on fire in the Polbathic area.

The station received the call to the incident just after 11pm on Friday night.

A spokesperson said: "The car was well alight on arrival and the four crew, two using breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet and a dry powder extinguisher to extinguish the fire."
