Devon and Cornwall Police have welcomed today’s Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) figures showing a decrease in complaints against the force.

The two per cent decrease continues the downward trend from the previous year.
In the previous 12 months 38 appeals were lodged with the IPCC against the outcome of investigations by Devon and Cornwall Police. Of these appeals, nine were upheld, which equates to 24 per cent, below the national average of 40 per cent.
