Liskeard firefighters investigated when a carbon monoxide monitor sounded the alert at a property in Merrymeet last night (April 11).
Crews using breathing apparatus checked the property for a carbon monoxide reading and found the source to be coming from a blockage in the chimney area. Advice was given to the owner of the property.
Advice on carbon monoxide and its dangers can be found on the Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service of the Cornwall Council website, www.cornwall.gov.uk
