A car plunged 15 metres down an embankment in the early hours of Christmas Day.

The blue Peugeot left the A388 outside Treburley and the emergency services were called at around 4am.

Appliances from Callington, Launceston and the rescue tender from Bodmin were mobilised.

A triple extension ladder was used to help one person back onto the main carriageway. Paramedics and police were also at the scene, and the road was closed for a period.
