Liskeard Community Fire Station reported a busy night during the freezing conditions.

The on-call crew attended several incidents including a chimney fire.

The crew were confronted with a chimney fire that was well alight, and staff said the incident was made even more the difficult because the property had solar panels.

Firefighters used chimney rods and a stirrup pump to tackle the fire.

The station reminded people to get chimneys swept every year before you light your fire.
