A fire involving a round baler spread to surrounding grass yesterday afternoon.

Firefighters from Callington asked for help from colleagues in Tavistock at the scene in Church Lane, Calstock, shortly after 2pm.

The fire involving a round baler was extinguished but had spread to approximately 200 by 100 metres of grass, which was alight.

The crews put out the fire using two high pressure hosereel and beaters.
