Armed police cordoned off a street in Liskeard this morning after reports of a possible hostage situation at a house in Higher Lux Street.

Two men were seen by an eyewitness emerging from a property with their hands above their heads.

Multiple police vehicles were in attendance and the road was shut for at least an hour.
