Police have now issued an appeal for witnesses to the A30 crash on Sunday which resulted in five people being taken to hospital.
Just before 1pm on the east-bound carriageway of the A30 near Altarnun, a 45-year-old man from London, who was visiting the area on holiday, lost control of a dark blue Ford SMAX which left the road and came to rest in a field.
All five occupants of the vehicle were transported to Derriford Hospital by air ambulance, including two children aged 15 and 12 with potential serious injuries, and a four-year-old boy as a precaution.
