A recent Cornwall Housing tenant satisfaction survey shows 88% of tenants are satisfied with where they live, says the organisation.

Managers compare the figure to a Local Government Association satisfaction rating in a national poll of 82%.

The tenant satisfaction survey also found 90% of council tenants in Cornwall are satisfied that Cornwall Housing provides value for money for the rent that they pay.

The national poll shows 51% of those who responded felt their councils gave value for money.

Cornwall Housing manages 10,392 rented and 368 leasehold properties, as well as 66 gypsy and travellers’ pitches. The company also manages the Cornwall Homechoice register and the homelessness service.

Interim managing director Vivien Knibbs said: ’These results demonstrate the hard work that is put in by our committed staff in delivering good services for our customers. However, we are not complacent and we are consistently looking at ways to do things better and more efficiently for all of our customers.’
