ONCE again the weather was a factor and, with the wettest square in memory, the start of this Jolly's Cornwall Cricket League Premier Division match between Callington and Truro was delayed until 2.00 pm and the overs reduced to 47 a side.

Matt Robins won an important toss and duly asked Truro to bat.

Nine overs had been bowled when Russ Holloway took a sharp catch at mid-on off Chris Davies to dismiss Tim Marrion, and Aidan Libby bowled Joe Dale in the next over.

James Walton lofted a catch to Sam Higgins in the deep, again off Davies, and Robins trapped the County skipper Tom Sharp leg before to leave the reigning League champions on 78 for four after 30 overs.

Kyle Van Rooyen put bat to ball for a quick 24 but he, too, was adjudged lbw to Andy Libby.
