CARADON put the disappointment of the previous week's defeat behind them to get back to winning ways with this fine victory over a well-organised Truro team.

With three regular squad members unavailable, the hosts took a little while to settle.

Their usual fluid playing style was missing in the first 20 minutes, and Caradon had to rely on a penalty corner to break the deadlock.

The half-time talk was focused, and captain Laura Tuxford demanded more commitment and urgency.

She led by example and scored an excellent hat-trick in the second period, one of which was a great solo goal which she started just inside her own half.
