Caradon Gig Club won the overall award at the Cornish Pilot Gig Association’s annual awards dinner, held at St Austell Brewery.

Another successful year of racing was celebrated with representatives from men’s, women’s and Under 16s crews in attendance from across the county.

It was a hugely successful night for the Caradon Club who led from the front across the season and finished some way ahead of their main rivals Charlestown.

The Saltash-based club swept the board across all of the adult disciplines, winning Men’s A and B titles alongside the Women’s A and B awards.

The Under 16s team was squeezed off the top spot by Coverack in a tough battle across the season for the best youth team award.
