DOBWALLS Short Mat Bowling Club held a charity bowls tournament at the Dobwalls Memorial Hall in aid of the Cornwall Blind Association.

Teams from all over the county took part with 54 bowlers competing to win the Newton/Fletcher Triples Trophy.

The winners were Lostwithiel with 6pts and 32 shots, runners up were Callington with 6pts and 20 shots, and third were Boscastle with 6pts and 12 shots.

A cheque for £305 was presented to Sue Harold who came with her guide dog Polly. Sue gave talk on the work of the association.
