LIAM Thornton netted four goals as Torpoint cruised into the semi-finals of the Rowett Insurance East Cornwall League Cup.

A Mike Roberts cross was met by Thornton to give the Tamarsiders a seventh-minute lead.

Bere hit back through Ben Stephens, but Sam Trethewey responded almost immediately to regain the advantage.
