Torpoint Mosquito Sailing Club is recruiting young people for its cadet section.
The section is open to young people aged eight to 16 and offers weekly sessions on the water during the summer with onshore sessions during the winter.
As well as water confidence and sailing, cadets learn team building, gain skills like first aid, grow their self-assurance, mix with children of different ages and sailing abilities, and most of all have fun.
Cadet co-ordinator Phillippa Smerdon said: ‘We are currently recruiting young people for the 2016 intake of cadets so if your child would like to learn to sail in a safe and supportive environment, get in touch. Parents or guardians of cadets have to be members of the club but it is easy to join and not expensive.’
Places are limited so if you are interested phone Phillippa on 07918 666339.
