THE Duchy College football team recorded a convincing 5-0 victory over Bicton College in their final match of the season to clinch the British Colleges Sport (BCS) South West Division title.

In their first season, the players have exceeded all expectations by ending the League campaign with ten from 12 games.

Said course manager Darren Evans: 'The squad gave a professional performance on the day, and were 3-0 up at half-time.

'The game was comfortably won thanks to goals from Matt Thornley, (2), Simon Grigg, Mitchell Hosking and Kieran Hart.'
