Cornwall Golf Week tees off next week, with its aim of inspiring more people to take up the game.

The action starts with city centre taster days on Thursday and Friday (April 4-5), at Truro's Lemon Quay, where passers-by will be invited to have a go at golf in the inflatable nets; on the portable putting green and on the Sweet Spot simulator.

Then, between April 6-14, 24 golf clubs and ranges will be offering free taster sessions for newcomers and returners to the game. There will

be plenty of follow-on opportunities, with all clubs offering a low-cost five-week programme of structured group coaching straight after the week.
