Millbrook triathlete Simon Lee took part in the A J Bell London Triathlon which was held over August 8 and 9. It is the largest and most-established triathlon in the world, which saw more than 13,000 triathletes compete during the two days.

Based at the Excel, which overlooks the Royal Victoria Dock, the event was watched by many thousands of spectators in extremely warm weather conditions.

Simon was accompanied and enthusiastically supported by his wife Naomi, his daughters, Eden, aged three, and Zennor, 11 months, and his parents Rod and Jenny Lee.

As well as athletes from all over the world taking part many celebrity athletes competed ranging from TV presenters to ex-professional footballers.

Simon, who has also run in the London Olympic Stadium, is a familiar figure on the Cornish triathlon circuit.
