THE Cornish All Blacks have made three changes from the side that were well beaten at Old Redcliffians last weekend for today’s South West Premier clash with Royal Wootton Bassett at Polson Bridge (3pm).

The All Blacks are currently ninth in the 14-team table with 15 points from eight games, one point and one place above their Wiltshire opponents, a team they have never faced before.

The visitors have won three times this season all against the bottom three at present. They beat Camborne and Okehampton at home as well as a victory at Drybrook.

The All Blacks have won just two of their eight games, but crucially, five have been away from home, four of which have been against the top five.

However they start a crucial run of fixtures now with four of their next five games to the halfway stage being against sides in and around them.

After Royal Wootton Bassett they visit mid-table Bournemouth on November 20 before welcoming Brixham (November 27), the Cornish derby at Camborne on December 4 and welcoming Drybrook seven days later.

They round off 2021 on December 18 with the first of the return fixtures, a trip to third-placed Exmouth.

For tomorrow, joint head coaches Ian Goldsmith and Ryan Westren have made three alterations.

Key prop Andy Knight is available after missing last Saturday and replaces Mitch Hawken who drops down to the bench.

Adam Powell is called up from the replacements to partner Dan Goldsmith in the second row with Tom Bottoms out of the squad altogether as BJ Chapman takes his place on the bench following a three-match ban following his red card at Okehampton.

In the backs, flying winger Reuben Edwards injured himself at training and is unavailable, meaning Cam Fogden comes in.

He will partner Westren in the centre with Shaun Crawford, usually a centre himself, switching out to the right-wing. Youngster Ollie Tomkies has been rewarded for his fine form in the seconds with a place on the bench for the first time.

BUDE make the trip down the A388 to Saltash (2.30pm) looking to continue their excellent start to the season against a side who are without 11 players at Moorlands Lane.

The visitors have lost just once in eight outings while the hosts have only won once.

However rugby is a funny old game, but if Saltash pull off a victory it would be a major surprise.

Saltash head coach Steve Down has to select himself at fly-half while from last week, Danny Snook, Kieran Down, Ryan Simmons, Joe Ronayne and Lewis Woolaway are all unavailable for various reasons.

Bude have to do without four first choice starters in prop Simon Jeffery, lock Joel Troke and first choice centres Ed Hilliam-Cooke and Kyle Speare, but still name a strong side.

Matt Williams replaces Jeffery after a couple of weeks in the seconds while Dan Statton comes into the second row in place of Luke Dunkin who is also out.

With Hilliam-Cooke and Speare out, player/coach Angus Hodges moves from the back row to inside-centre. His move sees Fred Saxton also shift from number eight to the blindside with key man Joe Wilson once again available and slots in at number eight.

Bude at Saltash – Olly Denford (capt), Rory Hodges, Will Pharo, Angus Hodges, Zerran Hammond, Charlie Watton, Olly Mounce; Matt Williams, Jason Bolt, Chris Allin, Will Kingdon, Dan Statton, Fred Saxton, Finley Fry, Joe Wilson.

Replacements: Martin George, Luke Wilson, TBC.

Saltash v Bude – Joe Rider, James Smith-Jones, Andrew Walsh, Rob Down, Devan Marshall, Steve Down, Jack Pritchard; Simon Nance, Dale Thompson, Max Dennison, Liall Honey, Albert Hall, Fin Jones, Phil Eatwell, Devon Bennett-Murray.

Replacements: Colm Rich, Harry Richardson, Ryan Wilson.

Liskeard-Looe have suffered some agonising defeats in recent weeks against Withycombe (5-3) and Newquay Hornets (19-14), but have at least picked up some bonus points.

However the Lions head to mid-Devon to take on in-form North Tawton (2.30pm) who won 53-3 at Hayle last weekend.

Player/coach Lewis Elliott drops himself from last weekend with lock Michael Prowse coming in and Fred Cozens taking Elliott’s place at number eight. At the front of the scrum, Kai Manning replaces Ben Palmer at tighthead while Jack Badnall comes up from the bench to replace Andrew Rowe at blindside-flanker.

In the backs, wingers James Rogers and Billy Wildgoose are recalled for the previously retired Baz Hocking and Jay Mason.

As a result, Ieuan Evans partners Ollie Aggiss in the midfield.

Kieran Underhill, Billy Wildgoose, Jordan Smith, Ollie Aggiss, James Rogers, James Noel-Johnson, Callum Beaver; Mike Mander, Archie Doidge, Kai Manning, Will Stuart, Michael Prowse, Jack Badnall, Nathan Wills, Fred Cozens.

Bodmin coach Dave Saunter is waiting on the fitness of four players and names the following squad:

CAMELFORD have yet to win this season and have an incredibly difficult task tomorrow.

They are set to visit runaway leaders St Ives who scored 144 points in the reverse fixture when Camelford had just 12 players.

Camelford were much more competitive last Saturday, only losing by ten points at Redruth Albany (36-26).
