The route for tonight’s (Wednesday) open top bus parade to celebrate Cornwall’s historic win at Twickenham on Sunday when they retained the Bill Beaumont County Championship Cup has been confirmed.
The chairman of the council, Councillor Ann Kerridge, will be officially sending the team on their way from County Hall where the bus will depart at 6pm for the victory parade around Truro.
The planned route is as follows:
County Hall – Depart at 6pm.
Station Road – normal traffic speed
Richmond Hill - normal traffic speed
Ferris Town - normal traffic speed
Frances Street – walking pace
River Street – walking pace
St Nicholas Street – walking pace
Boscawen Street – walking pace
Princes Street – walking pace
Back Quay – walking pace
Across Lemon Quay (pause at Lemon Quay with photo opportunity for fans with the cup)
Right into Lemon Street – walking pace
Boscawen Street – walking pace
Right into King Street – walking pace
High Cross (pause outside the Cathedral)
Return to County Hall via:
St Clement Street – normal traffic speed
Pydar Street – normal traffic speed
Union Street – normal traffic speed
Frances Street – normal traffic speed
Ferris Town – normal traffic speed
Richmond Hill – normal traffic speed
