Callington v. Redruth
CALLINGTON claimed a much-needed win against fellow strugglers Redruth, though at one stage the precious victory looked most unlikely. After being asked to bat in overcast and thundery weather, the hosts lost their first five wickets for just 31 runs, and another dismally low total was on the cards. However, Matt Robins was still there and was joined by Nick Parker, coming in at number seven. With the weather lifting and transforming into a beautiful afternoon, Parker played the perfect supporting role as Robins registered another half-century, with his knock of 56 coming in 104 balls.
