A superb second half display at Mount Wise saw the Ashes romp to victory over a Newquay side that simply crumbled under constant pressure.

The Peppermints went in at the break holding a single goal lead after Jack Bray-Evans' 34th minute effort and it looked as if the Ashes would never score for the first quarter of the second period.

But that all changed on 63 minutes when Aaron Cusack's precision pass put in Sam Farrant for a one-on-one and he cooly slotted the ball past the Peppermints' 'keeper.

A second followed, 14 minutes later, after Richard Maddison was fouled in the area leaving Toby Clark to convert the subsequent spot-kick.

Victory was assured in the final nine minutes as, with Newquay throwing everything into attack, Ashes scored three more goals.
