PENSILVA ran riot in Division Two of the J J Jones Builders Duchy League, smashing seven goals without reply past their visitors, Gerrans and St Mawes, to avenge their previous defeat against Maker-with-Rame.

The Pens went in front on 20 minutes when Sam Rogers set up Jonny Filbey to score.

Home keeper Matt Hamley made an important save shortly after, finger-tipping a lob from Gerrans onto the post, before Pensilva doubled their lead

on 32 minutes through a penalty kick from Rogers, after Leighton Mitchell had been fouled.

The hosts needed just 25 seconds after the break to make it three, thanks to a 25-yard strike from Marc Tuck, and 'Man-of-the-Match' Mitchell repeated the feat just five minutes later.

Tuck doubled his tally on the hour-mark with a neat lob over the keeper, before Filbey made it six following good work from Ben Collins.

It was left to substitute Karl Gross to round off the scoring with a fierce effort past the keeper.
