SHERYLL Murray, the Conservative MP for South East Cornwall, paid to the home of Looe Rifle and Pistol Club to try her hand at a variety of weapons.

She got to grips with air pistols, an air rifle, a semi-automatic weapon, rifles of different calibres and two black-powder pistols at the range, situated at Polean, near the Millpool car park.

The visit follows Mrs Murray's interest in the club's stand at the Looe Societies' Exhibition earlier in the year.
