Liskeard Girls' Football Club put in a super performance in their first-ever international match as they overcame a girls' representative side from South Shore Massachusetts, America, in an under-17s' exhibition match.
The team were joined at Lux Park by local MP Sheryll Murray and her colleague, Caroline Nokes, who were among the fans cheering the girls on to a 2-1 victory The US side's trip was arranged by (UK Soccer Development (UKSD), which aims to helping youngsters through the sport and through fitness and expanding their life experiences.
