A YOUNG football team from Saltash has swapped its secondhand kit for a new strip thanks to sponsors Simply Kitchens.
Bosses at the Plymouth-based company decided to back Saltash United Under 12s after being approached by a parent of one of the players.
Playing their second season in the DJM (Devon, Junior and Minor league), the boys can now stride out on to the pitch with pride.
Katrina Hanmer, spokewoman for Saltash United Under 12s, said: 'The boys were playing in club kits which have all been washed more than a few times and looked a bit worn.
'Now they have their own strip which they look great in. The boys can take it home with them, which they couldn't before, so it gives them a sense of pride in their team.'
Nathan Hopper, managing director of Simply Kitchens, said: 'We are delighted to be sponsors of Saltash Utd Under 12s.
'I find it quite rewarding to be able to give something back. We'll definitely be keeping an eye on their progress this season.'
