LISKEARD AREA LADIES' SUMMER LEAGUE

Julie Bawden (Market Inn) and Jan Martin (White Hart A) overcame Sara Treeby (White Hart B) and Andrea Hewitt (Ivy Belles), 2-0, in the final of the end-of-season blind doubles competition.

Bawden and Martin had a bye in the first round, before beating Lesley Mutton (White Hart B) and Lisa Hoskin (Con Club) and then Dawn Gregory (Cheesewring) and Jeanette Keast (Halfway) in the semi-finals.

The other finalists, Treeby and Hewitt, accounted for Angie Howard and Natasha Nash (both Sportsmans), Belinda Hall (White Hart B) and Emily Bettison (White Hart A) and Laura Hoare (White Hart B) and Jenny Martin (Cheesewring).
